Zoom & Screen Portraits
A Screen as a Studio
Studio GW creates portraits with edge — sometimes captured through Zoom, sometimes from videos playing on a screen. The result is stylized, high-energy imagery that feels spontaneous and alive. These portraits turn digital artifacts — color shifts, reflections, and screen textures — into part of the visual language, giving each image a raw, modern feel that stands out in editorial and brand storytelling.
This approach began as an experiment during lockdown-era video calls and evolved into a distinct body of work — portraits made through technology rather than despite it. This work embraces the compression, lag, and color distortion that define our digital age. The result: edgy, stylized images that blur the line between connection and disconnection, intimacy and mediation.
